The Antelope Valley has had it's share of great athletes, and great football players.
But none have experienced success on the collegiate level like Derek Hagan. Now, Derek is making his way in the National Football League as a member of the Miami Dolphins.
His Legacy...
Derek piled up a seemingly endless list of awards and accolades during his High School career. He was an Honorable Mention All Region selection by PrepStar Magazine.
He was listed as the number 65 player in the Farwest by PrepStar, and he ranked as the No. 113 player in the Farwest.

He earned All City honors his senior
season. He was All Golden League his junior and senior seasons. He caught 65 passes for 843 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. His 843 yards set a school record. He also had nine interceptions on defense. He was named All CIF by the Los Angeles Daily News. He caught 19 passes for 303 yards on offense and had 23 tackles and four interceptions on defense as a junior. He was the Falcons' MVP as a junior and a senior.
Derek led the Sun Devils in receiving yards in 2003 and 2004, and became the seventh player in school history to tally at least 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 honors as a sophomore, and 2nd Team recognition as a junior. As a sophomore, he led the team with 66 receptions and 1,076 receiving yards. Those 66 catches that season ranked second on the ASU single-season charts, He improved on those numbers in his senior year, when he caught 83 passes for 1248 yards and 10 touchdowns, placing him 8th in yardage in Division I. The biggest game of his career came against UCLA in 2004, when he hauled in 5 passes for 160 yards and 3 TDs.
Derek was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the 3rd round of the 2006 NFL draft.
