Ryan Millar was a two-time third-team All-American at Highland High, and was named first-team All-American as a junior by Volleyball Monthly. He was three-time all-league and MVP of the Golden League as a senior.

He continued his success at BYU. He was named NCAA Freshman of the year, and as a sophomore was first team All-American, and set a BYU record for kills in a match and a season. He was first team All American again as a Junior and a Senior. In that final year, his Cougars won the National Championship, and he was named to the NCAA All-Tournament

Team, and capped it with the biggest individual award of all, National Player of the Year. He broke every BYU career blocking record.

Millar played for Team USA in two Olympics (2000-2004). Millar played professional volleyball in Italy for six years. Currently, he is the co-head coach at BYU.
