Youth Sports Hall of Fame
Franklin was the Golden League's Most Valuable Player as a senior, and an all-area first-team selection in 2003. He led the Bulldogs to the Golden League Title in 2003, and has since established himself as one of the nation's great defenders on the collegiate level.
Sean earned All-Big West Conference second-team honors as a Freshman in 2004. He was also named to the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team during that spring.
In 2005, Franklin led the Matadors with six assists, which was also the highest total among Big West defenders and placed him in a tie for third among all conference players. He started all 21 matches he appeared in, and assisted on the game-winning goal in the Matadors’ postseason victory over UC Santa Barbara. He earned first-team All-Big West Conference honors and third-team All-Far West Region accolades.
Sean continued to make a name for himself during his Junior season in 2006. He was rewarded by being named to the All Big West First Team. He was also named to the NSCAA/Adidas All-Far West Region Team. He second-team honors after earning third-team accolades in 2005.
