The Quartz Hill JV boys soccer team went undefeated this season, finishing with a 10-0-4 record in league. They finished the season with a tough game against Highland. The Rebels had to come from behind twice and won in the final minutes on a penalty kick. The first goal was a well placed a free kick from Andres Dubon to the head of Justin Gomillion to even it up at the half. About twenty minutes into the second half Highland went up 2-1. On the 2nd half kick off the Rebels went right down the field and tied it up with a quick pass from Stephen Pulido to Juan Gonzalez for the score. Within the final two minutes Kalan Dapson was fouled with a hard tackle in the box. Adam Aristo made the PK for the win 3-2. Kenny Gardner played strong in the middle with Aristo to control the game. Gomillion, Zach Brown and Dubon played well on the defense.

The visiting Lancers gave the Golden League champs all they could handle in a scoreless 1st half, but the Rebels earned the win with goals by Logan McDaniel and Christian Gonzalez after intermission. McDaniel scored on a free kick with 25 minutes left, and Gonzalez capitalized on a bad clearing pass by the Lancer keeper, intercepting it just outside the 18 before easily scoring for the clincher with just a few minutes remaining. The Rebels will play the winner of the Montebello-Aliso Niguel game on Tuesday.
Palmdale 2, Fountain Valley 1
Palmdale opened the scoring in the 33rd minute of the first half when Christian Diaz played a long free kick into the eighteen. Sergio Cedano was able to seperate from his mark and headed the ball into the lower corner of the goal. Fountain Valley would get a goal back with 15 minutes remaining when the ball popped out to an open player who struck it from 20 yards out to tie the game. Palmdale would regain the lead with 5 minutes left in the game when Tyler Coombes chased a ball into the corner and beat the defender, crossed to Christian Diaz, who drew his defender and backheeled the ball to Roberto Mariscal, who tucked a shot in the low left corner. Palmdale held off the Fountain Valley attack in the end to take the win.
