The Lady Rebels finished their season with a 9-1 victory over Littlerock High School. Goals scored by Shawna Saitta (2), Heather Jones (2), Sierra Gomillion (2), Kristen Osuna, Kim Randall, Lauren Dickson, and assists by Shawna Saitta (2), Catie Moes, Kristen Osuna, Kim Randall and Kristyn Bolls.

The Lady Rebels scored 11 this evening and posted a shut out over Antelope Valley. The scoring, led off by freshman Kristen Osuna, and followed by Kristyn Bolls (2), Brooke Heying (2), Kasey Kellog, Lauren Dickson, Shawna Saitta, Jenna Hoeft, Sierra Gomillion, and Brittney Teaney. Haley Rabiej recorded the shut-out.
Lancaster 3, Highland 0
Allyson Lods had 2 goals and Erika Scott had one. Chanel Luna had 2 assist. The win clinched the Golden League title for Lancaster.
Knight 4, Littlerock 0
Emma Ramirez, Desiree Mejia and Lauren McDermott each had goals for Knight. Amber Lewis added a goal on a PK. Assist came from Amber Lewis and Emma Ramirez. Knight had 10 shots on goal to Littlerocks 2. Knight plays Eastside @ AV on Thursday. Knight keeper Helen Alanzo was 2 for 2.

Lauren McDermott and Desiree Mejia each scored two goals while Karen Garcia, Angie Marquez, and Amber Lewis each had one. Assists came from Paola Cruz, Brittany Carr and Lauren McDermott. Knight had 17 shots on goal while Littlerock had two. Knight travels to Littlerock tomorrow.
Knight Keeper Helen Alanzo was 2 for 2.
Highland 1, Palmdale 0
The win by the Bulldogs creates a 4 way tie for second place in Golden League between Eastside, Highland, Palmdale and Knight. Lancaster has clinched no worse than a tie for first place. The Eagles need a tie or a win in one of their last three games for the outright championship.

The Rebels scored once in the first half and once in the second. They had 7 shots on goal to 3 for Knight. Knight keeper Helen Alanzo was 5 for 7, while the Rebel keeper had 3 saves on 3 shots. Freshman standout Kristen Osuna was assisted by Shawna Saitta on the first goal. Morgan Jones struck a beautiful free kick to add the final goal of the match. The Rebels next match is Friday against Eastside High School at Antelope Valley High

The Rebels avenged their earlier loss to Lancaster and moved into first place. Rebel goals were scored by Heather Jones (assisted by Talia Mejia) and Freshman Kristen Osuna (assisted by Heather Jones). The Rebels defense proved stingy again allowing just 5 shots on goal, including a PK by Allyson Lods for the Lancaster goal. "It was a hard fought game and both teams left it on the field!" said Rebel Coach Gordon.
Littlerock 0, Highland 0
Keeper Lorissa Samora got the shutout for the Lobos. The Bulldogs out shot the Lobos with Bulldog Marisol Vite controlling the center.
Palmdale 1, Knight 1
Palmdale was able to out shoot Knight 7 to 4 as Knight struggled to get around the Falcons Meagen Farrel. At times it looked as if their were three of her, as she was consistently putting and end to Knights attack. Knight would end up scoring on what Palmdale gave them the most... corner kicks (7). On Knights 7th corner kick Desiree Mejia was able to poke it into the corner of the net with about 6 minutes left in the game. Palmdale scored with 3 minutes left and the game ended in a tie. Knight travels to QH on Wednesday. Knights Keeper Helen Alanzo was 6 for 7, and the Falcon keeper was 3 of 4

In a defensive game, Eastside was able to get five shots on goal to Knights two. Both defenses played fast and strong. Knight hosts Palmdale on Monday. Knight Keeper Helen Alanzo was 5 for 5.

The Lady Rebels scored three this evening against Littlerock as Haley Rabiej recorded the shut-out. The Rebels play Lancaster on Monday at home. Kick-Off for JV is 3:00 and Varsity is 4:30 p.m.

A goal by Lisbeth Ramirez in the first half and a goal by Julie Zapata in the second half was all the Lobos needed for the win. Zapata took several shots throughout the second half, with Colleen Duffy assisting her, out shooting the Lopes. The Lopes fought back hard but were unable to get it in the net.
Knight 4, Highland 0
Amber Lewis had 2 goals, one on a PK and Desiree Mejia had a goal and an assist. Amanda Lewis also had a goal off a free kick as Knight defeated Highland 4-0. Knight plays East side Saturday @ 12:30 in a make up game. Knight keeper Helen Alanzo saved 2 of 2, while Highland keeper Vanessa Macias saved 6 of 10.
Lancaster 5, Eastside 0
Brianna Singh and Beatrice Giles each scored two goals for Lancaster. Diana Estevez scored the games final goal on a PK. Chanel Luna had two assists and played an outstanding job on defense along with Samantha Sorosjinda, Erika Scott and Jessica McDaniel.
Quartz Hill 3, Palmdale 0
The Quartz Hill Lady Rebels posted 3 goals, while shutting out the Palmdale Falcons. Freshman Kristen Osuna started the scoring with an assist from Britney Teaney. Yanina Diaz and Heather Jones put in goals two and three off assist from Talia Mejia and Kristen Osuna. The Rebel defense played stingy allowing just one shot on frame. The Rebels face Littlerock on Saturday. JV Kicks-Off at 1 pm and Varsity Kicks-Off at 2:30 pm at Littlerock.

The Lady Rebels defeated Antelope Valley this evening. Goals were scored by Kasey Kellogg (2), Kristen Osuna (2), Kristen Bolls, Talia Mejia, Brittney Teaney, Kim Randall, Yanina Diaz, Morgan Jones, Lauren Dickson, and Heather Jones. While the Rebels continued to progress, the Lady Antelopes played determined until the final whistle.

In a rain shortened makeup game, Knight earned a 4-0 win. Knight had 9 shots on goal, and AV had 1. Goals were scored by Lauren McDermott (2), Karen Garcia, and Amanda Lewis. Knight Keeper Helen Alonzo made 1 save on 1 chance. Knight travels to Highland on Thursday.

Brianna Singh and Chanel Luna each had 1 goal and 1 assist for the Eagles. Allyson Lods and Taylor Williams also scored goals

The Quartz Hill Lady Rebels showed strong signs of maturity this evening with a 9-0 victory over Highland High School. Freshman Kristen Osuna led the scoring with a hat trick, with six other Rebels finding the back of the net. Haley Rabiej recorded the shut-out. "The girls showed good progress both technically and tactically" said Coach Gordon. The Rebels will play Antelope Valley High School at Quartz Hill tomorrow Wednesday, January 26, 2010. Kick-off is 3:00 for JV and 4:30 Varsity.

The Rebels got one early goal and one late goal, and otherwise controlled the game on their way to a 2-0 win. Kim Randall assisted Britney Teaney 2 minutes into the game, and Brook Heying assisted Jeanna Hoeft with 8 minutes left.
Palmdale 1, Littlerock 0
In perhaps one of the best games Littlerock has played all year, Palmdale got away with one lucky goal through the legs of Pauline Blanca. Megan Farrell worked the back of Palmdales defense, making Littlerock work to get around her. Lisbeth Ramirez had a shot on goal that missed the Falcon net. Overall the game was even, with both teams never giving up. Palmdale was finally able to score 7 minutes before the game was over.

The Eagles beat Peat Knight 4-0 on three goals from Brianna Singh in the first half. Erika Scott added a goal in the second half.

The Rebels out shot the Hawks 13-3. Samantha Ellis scored twice for the Rebels, and Heather Jones got the other one. Assists were by Kristyn Bolls (2) and Brittney Teaney. Knight keeper Helen Alonzo had 10 saves. Emma Ramirez got the Hawks goal, assisted by Paola Cruz. On Thursday, Knight travels to Lancaster while the Rebels host Eastside.

Lancaster beat Littlerock 9-0 with goals from Brianna Singh (2), Diana Estevez (2), Elizabeth Garcia, Chanel Luna, Allyson Lods, Alex Barajas and Beatrice Giles. The assists came from Beatrice Giles (3), Kassandra Rodriguez (2), Chanel Luna and Aneth Mahmood. Lancaster (3-0-1) still has not given up a goal in league play.
Julie Zapata of the Lobos suffered a concussion and was transported by ambulance to AV hospital during the game. She is now in stable condition. The Lobos had to play Lancaster with 3 starting defenders sitting out due to injuries.

Taylor Williams scored the winning goal in the closing minutes of the game. The Eagles improved to 2-0-1, and have not given up a goal in league play.
Highland 3, Littlerock 0
The Lobos got off to a good start, now that Julie Zapata was back at forward with Colleen Duffy. They were able to dominate the ball until 2 minutes before halftime, when the Bulldogs got a goal in. The second half started off intense, with Highland getting a goal in the first two minutes. The Lobos put up a fight, out shooting Highland in the 2nd half. Bulldog Marisol Vite was able to control the entire game from her center position, assisting in another goal soon after. Lobos dominated the ball most of the game, but could not find the net.
Knight 0, Palmdale 0
Palmdale had 6 shots on goal, while Knight had 5.

While Coach Dante Zapata and his JV team celebrated their 9-0 win over the Lopes, Coach Lorrie Duffy and her Varsity had to settle for the 0-0 tie. The first half was intense, with the Lopes playing the ball more than the Lobos, and the ball spending more time in the air and being thrown in rather than played. In the second half, the Lobos pounded on the Lopes goal, unable to make any into the net.
Lancaster 2, Eastside 0
The Eagles beat Eastside 2-0 with goals by Chanel Luna and Beatrice Giles. Allyson Lods had an assist.
Quartz Hill 2, Palmdale 0
The Rebels scored off of two first half corner kicks. After that, the Falcon defense toughened up, and the teams played a scoreless second half. The Falcon defense was especially solid, led by Megan Farrell, Olivia Lozano, and keeper Marika Nemeth. Forward Sarah Urbina also had a strong game. Another forward, Teresa Solano, left the game with an injured ankle, but taped it up and returned to the match. "She has been so consistent for us all year," said Coach Conni Billes. "She had an amazing game."

Knight pulled out their first victory ever over Highland in the schools seven year history - six with a varsity team.
The Hawks had 13 shots on goal while Highland had 6. Knight keeper Helen Alonzo did a great job instructing her defense to pick up unmarked players. Knight also had to defend against 6 corner kicks. Highland was able to keep Alonzo busy most of the game. Lauren McDermott had 2 goals, and Daniela Clara had 1. Amber Lewis, Carla Godoy, and Desiree Mejia had assists.

Lancaster had numerous opportunities to score, but had to settle for the scoreless tie.
Eastside 7, Littlerock 0
With Lobo defender Crystal Tovares sitting out for unknown reasons, already injured Julie Zapata and the rest of the Lobo defense had to take on Eastsides power forwards. In the first half, Eastside managed to get a goal in, making it 1-0 by half time. In the second half, Eastside pounded on the Lobo side, with Janet, Crystal, and Adelita, getting six goals through the defense and Lobo keeper Pauline Blanca. Overall, the Lobos were forced to play defense the entire game.
Knight 7, Antelope Valley 0
The Lady Hawks out shot the Lopes 23-2 while finding the back of the net 7 times. Amber Lewis (2), Lauren McDermott, Paola Cruz and Janet Carballo scored for the winners.
Quartz Hill 2, Highland 0
The Rebels out-shot Highland 14-4 and earned the win in the league opener for both teams.
